Women's History Month
Historian, author, and Forest Home Cemetery docent Anita Pietrykowski will share stories of trailblazing women, as well as other notable local figures. Enjoy a fascinating glimpse into the contributions of some of Milwaukee’s amazing historic women in honor of Women’s History Month! Learn about Wisconsin’s first female physician, the visionary women behind the development of the Soldiers' Home, the founder of Milwaukee’s first animal shelter, the “Johnny Appleseed” of Little Free Libraries, and many more inspiring figures.
We will meet at Panera across the street from the library (in Ruby Isle) at 5:45 for a bite to eat, then head to the library for the program (7-8:15).
Back by popular demand, our annual soup pot luck will be hosted by the generous Anne Slattery. Get ready for great conversation, a few games, and of course a variety of food and drinks. What a great time to catch up on winter happenings and talk about the warm weather to come!
Please list in your response what you will be bringing: soup, bread, appetizer, or come as you are if time does not allow any food prep.
